Ideas such as a 320km (200 miles), <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/fitness\/i-tried-everesting-in-my-shed-it-took-me-11-5-hours-and-heres-what-i-experienced-as-the-clock-ticked-by\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/fitness\/i-tried-everesting-in-my-shed-it-took-me-11-5-hours-and-heres-what-i-experienced-as-the-clock-ticked-by\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">12-hour ride<\/a> in the mountains that saw him rack up more than 8,000 metres of ascent and very nearly an Everesting. He posted it on <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/tag\/strava\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/tag\/strava\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Strava<\/a> on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"elk-seasonal\" href=\"\" data-url=\"\" target=\"_blank\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"392ac22a-7f53-47af-a29d-8b0d6200de93-2\" class=\"paywall\" aria-hidden=\"true\">The 19-year-old, who rides for Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale, called it, rather aptly, &#8216;Finishing the season well&#8217;. He&#8217;s not wrong.<\/p>\n<p>You may like<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\" aria-hidden=\"true\">Not that Seixas has anything to prove to anyone at this point. Having penned a three-year contract with the French WorldTour team, this season&#8217;s high point was undoubtedly winning the the <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/news\/what-exactly-is-cyclings-tour-de-lavenir-and-why-should-we-care\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/news\/what-exactly-is-cyclings-tour-de-lavenir-and-why-should-we-care\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tour de l&#8217;Avenir<\/a>, bookending it with stage wins in uphill time trials.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\" aria-hidden=\"true\">He also took a bronze medal in the European Championships elite men&#8217;s road race and was seventh in <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/news\/the-friday-cycling-quiz-how-well-do-you-know-il-lombardia\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/news\/the-friday-cycling-quiz-how-well-do-you-know-il-lombardia\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Il Lombardia<\/a> earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\" aria-hidden=\"true\">His ride, which took place on Sunday, took him on a circuit of the Swiss Alps that included major mountain ascents including the Col de Saisies, the <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/racing\/thymen-arensman-climbs-to-solo-victory-at-la-plagne-on-stage-19-of-the-tour-de-france\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/racing\/thymen-arensman-climbs-to-solo-victory-at-la-plagne-on-stage-19-of-the-tour-de-france\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cormet de Roselend<\/a>, the Petit and Grand St Bernard and the Col de Forclaz.
