The UCI will publish the successful lists on 10 December 2025, with 20 others applying to be men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s ProTeams.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"elk-seasonal\" href=\"\" data-url=\"\" target=\"_blank\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"9df9e929-d3a4-49d3-988a-d2ec6a9df2ba-2\" class=\"paywall\" aria-hidden=\"true\">WorldTour team licences will be set for the next three years, with those top-level squads having access to all the biggest races; the applications are assessed on ethical, financial, organisation and administrative criteria, but also sporting.<\/p>\n<p>You may like<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\" aria-hidden=\"true\">For the men&#8217;s WorldTour, for instance, the top 18 UCI point-scoring teams from the last three seasons are given priority. The review process for WorldTeams and ProTeams is now ongoing: &#8220;The UCI is currently assessing the compliance of these applications with regulatory requirements, in collaboration with the external audit firm PwC.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\" aria-hidden=\"true\">15 of the current 18 men&#8217;s WorldTour teams were announced by the UCI as applying for WorldTour status again, with <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/racing\/french-worldtour-team-to-fold-according-to-reports\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/racing\/french-worldtour-team-to-fold-according-to-reports\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ark\u00e9a-B&amp;B Hotels<\/a> and <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/racing\/super-team-in-the-making-or-desperate-survival-ploy-what-can-we-expect-from-a-lotto-intermarche-merger\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/racing\/super-team-in-the-making-or-desperate-survival-ploy-what-can-we-expect-from-a-lotto-intermarche-merger\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Intermarch\u00e9-Wanty<\/a> ceasing to exist in their current formats from the end of this year. Throwing their hats in the ring, as it were, are ProTeams Lotto, Uno-X Mobility, Cycling Academy (<a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingnews.com\/news\/moving-away-from-its-current-israeli-identity-israel-premier-tech-to-change-name-and-rebrand-for-2026-with-owner-sylvan-adams-stepping-back\/\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingnews.com\/news\/moving-away-from-its-current-israeli-identity-israel-premier-tech-to-change-name-and-rebrand-for-2026-with-owner-sylvan-adams-stepping-back\/\" target=\"_blank\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">formerly Israel-Premier Tech<\/a>) and <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/tag\/pinarello\" data-auto-tag-linker=\"true\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/tag\/pinarello\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pinarello<\/a>-Q36.5 Pro Cycling.<\/p>\n<p>Based on points, Lotto (with their merger with Intermarch\u00e9 pending), Cycling Academy and Uno-X Mobility should be promoted, with Ark\u00e9a, Intermarch\u00e9 and Cofidis dropping out. However, notable by their absence in the UCI list are Jayco AlUla, who have signed riders for 2026, and there have not been concerns over their future, so late paperwork is likely.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\" aria-hidden=\"true\">It is also notable that Q36.5 Pro Cycling are listed as Pinarello-Q36.5, with the team <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/racing\/whats-in-the-q36-5-move-for-tom-pidcock-and-whats-next\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/racing\/whats-in-the-q36-5-move-for-tom-pidcock-and-whats-next\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">currently using Scott bikes<\/a>, although <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/news\/tom-pidcock-to-remain-part-of-the-pinarello-family-after-joining-q36-5-pro-cycling\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/news\/tom-pidcock-to-remain-part-of-the-pinarello-family-after-joining-q36-5-pro-cycling\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pidcock uses Pinarello<\/a> for off-road racing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"newsletter-form__strapline\">The latest race content, interviews, features, reviews and expert buying guides, direct to your inbox!<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, 12 of the current 15 Women&#8217;s WorldTour teams have applied for 2026-2028; <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/racing\/womens-worldtour-team-to-cease-operations-at-the-end-of-the-season-after-sponsor-search-struggle\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/racing\/womens-worldtour-team-to-cease-operations-at-the-end-of-the-season-after-sponsor-search-struggle\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CERATIZIT are to cease operations<\/a>, while Liv Jayco AlUla and Roland-Le D\u00e9voluy are not listed, due to complete paperwork not being submitted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\" aria-hidden=\"true\">Based on UCI points, the 15 new WorldTour teams should include ProTeams VolkerWessels and EF Education-Oatly, although VolkerWessels have not applied to be a ProTeam. Roland would be the WorldTour team to miss out, with Cofidis submitting an application to be at the top table.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\" aria-hidden=\"true\">The UCI missive reads: &#8220;Teams that did not submit all the essential documents by the 15 October deadline, are included in the above count but are not included in the list below.
