City’s injury troubles continue to cause issues to Sergej Jakirovic<\/p>\n

Lewie Coyle is set to miss Tuesday night\u2019s big MKM Stadium showdown with Leicester City as Hull City’s injury list once again continues to grow. The influential skipper took a knock to the ankle in the first half<\/a> of Saturday’s thumping 3-2 win at Birmingham City, but had treatment during the interval and tried to carry on in the second period before being forced off five minutes into it.<\/p>\n

Coyle was due to have a scan on Monday to determine the extent of the issue and whether he would be a doubt for the weekend visit of Charlton Athletic to the MKM Stadium, or if he could overcome the issue.<\/p>\n

Cody Drameh replaced Coyle at St Andrew’s and delivered a fine second-half showing as City survived a late scare to win 3-2 against his former club and earn a first away win of the campaign, and they’ll look to back it up against the Foxes.<\/p>\n

City’s captain will hope it’s nothing serious after returning to fine form following a hamstring injury he picked up in pre-season, which saw him miss the early weeks of the campaign, but his expected absence on Tuesday night will come as a blow to boss Sergej Jakirovic.<\/p>\n

The Tigers may also be without star striker Oli McBurnie for the game against Leicester. Last time out McBurnie sustained what is understood to be a minor knee injury, however there is a chance the player will not be risked for fears a small issue could become something bigger. A final decision on the international forward will be taken on the day of the game.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, the Tigers will still be without long-term absentee Eliot Matazo, as well as Mohamed Belloumi, John Lundstram and Kasey Palmer, while Jakirovic will watch the game from the stands<\/a> as he serves a one-game suspension for his third booking of the campaign in the battle of St Andrew’s<\/a>.<\/p>\n
