{"id":21454,"date":"2025-07-25T00:00:08","date_gmt":"2025-07-25T00:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/21454\/"},"modified":"2025-07-25T00:00:08","modified_gmt":"2025-07-25T00:00:08","slug":"tragedy-as-body-found-in-river-by-cops-searching-for-man-34-who-vanished-nearly-two-years-ago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/21454\/","title":{"rendered":"Tragedy as body found in river by cops searching for man, 34, who vanished nearly two years ago"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A BODY has been found in the search for a man who vanished nearly two years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Dean Hill, aged 34, disappeared on November 11, 2023 from North Sydmonton, in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/where\/hampshire\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hampshire<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Photo of Dean Hill.\" height=\"746\" width=\"486\" data-credit=\"\" data-img=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/dean-hill.jpg\" data-caption=\"Dean Hill, aged 34, disappeared on November 11, 2023\"   loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/dean-hill.jpg\" role=\"img\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>2<\/p>\n<p>Dean Hill, aged 34, disappeared on November 11, 2023<\/p>\n<p>He was last seen at the Starting Gate pub, in Speen, at around 9pm.<\/p>\n<p>Thames Valley Police confirmed a body was pulled from a river near the Hambridge area of West <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/where\/berkshire\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Berkshire <\/a>yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The force believe it to be Mr Hill, and his family have been informed. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/topic\/police\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cops <\/a>are treating his death as unexplained and a file will be prepared for the coroner. <\/p>\n<p>Detective Inspector Stuart Streeter, said: \u201cSadly following calls from a member of the public, officers have recovered a body from the water, which we believe is missing man Dean.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur thoughts remain with the family of Mr Hill, who have been informed of the discovery.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt this time the death is being treated as unexplained and the coroner has been informed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: &#8220;Officers from Thames Valley Police yesterday (23\/7) have recovered a body from the river near the Hambridge area of West Berkshire.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Formal identification has not yet taken place but we believe that it is missing person Dean Hill, aged 34, from Newbury.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Dean was reported missing in November 2023.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Photo of a man wearing a light blue shirt.\" height=\"517\" width=\"333\" data-credit=\"\" data-img=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/479544653_936109662030756_6971301558449758431_n-1.jpg\" data-caption=\"Mr Hill was last seen at a local pub at around 9pm\"   loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/479544653_936109662030756_6971301558449758431_n-1.jpg\" role=\"img\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>2<\/p>\n<p>Mr Hill was last seen at a local pub at around 9pm<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A BODY has been found in the search for a man who vanished nearly two years ago.
