Pride of Britain host Carol Vorderman host looked out of this world as she posed for pictures on the red carpet ahead of the inspirational event<\/p>\n

Carol Vorderman turned heads as she arrived at the Pride of Britain Awards<\/a> on Monday evening. The Countdown icon walked the red carpet ahead of the annual ceremony that honours “unsung heroes” from across the United Kingdom<\/a> who have shown bravery, courage, or have made a significant difference in their communities.<\/p>\n

Hosted by Carol<\/a> and Diversity star Ashley Banjo, the 26th awards will be a star-studded affair. But as always the real stars of the show are the extraordinary winners, who represent the very best of everything British.<\/p>\n

The recipients are nominated by the public and are ordinary people of all ages and backgrounds whose actions are deemed extraordinary and inspiring.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the special event, Carol posed for snaps rocking a gorgeous form-fitting black gown. She kept it simple in a plain long-sleeved dress but added layered dazzling necklaces to complete the look.<\/p>\n

Her brown locks was styled in loose waves which flowed down her shoulders. Over on her Instagram<\/a> page, Carol revealed she’s wearing two dresses tonight. The black gown was for the red carpet while fans will have to wait and see her second dress.<\/p>\n

It comes after Carol opened up about her health issues. Last year, she stepped down from her LBC Sunday radio<\/a> show after a \u201chealth scare\u201d.<\/p>\n

Twelve months later, she exclusively reveals that she’s been “very poorly” over the past year, but has finally managed to come out the other side.<\/p>\n

Speaking to OK!, Carol revealed: “This year has been a bit hellish health-wise. I\u2019ve been very poorly, not related to the burnout but something entirely different.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m on the right medications now, but it\u2019s only in the last month or so that I felt I\u2019ve got my mojo back. So watch out, world<\/a>!”<\/p>\n

The twice-married and-divorced mother of two also revealed she’d been relying on a circle of good friends to lift her spirits and help her enjoy her new time off.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve had lots of mini-breaks and holidays with friends \u2014 gay friends, female friends I\u2019ve had for 50 years, or some I\u2019ve known for 10. I\u2019ve been back to horse racing<\/a>, I\u2019ve travelled to the States, to France, to everywhere, actually!,” she said.<\/p>\n
