<\/p>\nRory McIlroy switches focus to the end of the DP World Tour season and the Race to Dubai following his and Team Europe’s triumph at the 2025 Ryder Cup.<\/p>\n
McIlroy won 3.5 points to help Europe earn their first away win since the ‘Miracle of Medinah’ in 2012 to continue his stunning year.<\/p>\n
The world No 2 has already enjoyed a stellar 2025 season, with three victories on the PGA Tour – including Grand Slam glory at The Masters – followed by a dramatic win on home soil at the Amgen Irish Open.<\/p>\n

Rory McIlroy eagled the 18th hole – in dramatic fashion – at The K Club to force a play-off at the Irish Open<\/p>\n
McIlroy holds a commanding lead at the top of the DP World Tour’s Order of Merit as he looks to win the Race to Dubai for a seventh time, which would leave him within one of Colin Montgomerie’s record.<\/p>\n
He has committed to featuring in both of the DP World Tour Play-Off events, with McIlroy playing in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship (November 6-9) ahead of his DP World Tour Championship title defence the following week.<\/p>\n
McIlroy’s mixed major record in 2025 <\/p>\n
He became just the sixth player to complete the Grand Slam after a dramatic play-off victory over Justin Rose at Augusta National<\/a>, where he let a four-shot lead slip over the closing holes before winning on the first extra hole.<\/p>\n McIlroy won The Masters with a birdie on the first play-off hole against Rose to complete the career Grand Slam<\/p>\n It was his first major win since 2014 and saw him join Tiger Woods, Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player as men’s golf’s Grand Slam champions.<\/p>\n After following a disappointing tied-47th finish at the PGA Championship
