Now, his administration wants to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2025-10-01\/epa-wants-to-loosen-rules-on-super-pollutant-rules?srnd=undefined\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"media-ui-Link_link-tVkXhPLPofs-\" data-component=\"link\">unwind the measure<\/a>, meaning companies could keep selling the polluting ACs for longer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ArticleBodyText_articleBodyContent__17wqE typography_articleBody__3UcBa\" data-component=\"paragraph\">The Environmental Protection Agency said the proposed change is in response to a shortage of climate-friendly refrigerants needed to comply with the law, which raised prices for the products for contractors by as much as five times and left some Americans without AC at the height of summer.
