Elon Musk<\/a>‘s\u00a0space technology company,\u00a0SpaceX, moved Bitcoin for the first time in three months on Oct. 21.<\/p>\n

As per the on-chain analytics platform Arkham Intelligence<\/a>, a SpaceX-linked crypto wallet transferred\u00a02,495 Bitcoin worth approximately\u00a0$268.5 million in the first on-chain transfer since July 24.<\/p>\n

The space tech company has moved Bitcoin to\u00a0two unmarked addresses on the day. The transfer was made in two\u00a0tranches:<\/p>\n

So far,\u00a0the addresses have not transferred any Bitcoin.<\/p>\n

SpaceX completed these transfers after two tiny test transactions worth $150 and $177 from Coinbase Prime.<\/p>\n

“This may just be a wallet cleanup,” an analyst wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

SpaceX began to accumulate Bitcoin\u00a0in 2021. However, it liquidated\u00a0nearly 70% of its BTC holdings\u00a0during the Terra-Luna collapse and FTX fallout\u00a0in 2022.<\/a>\u00a0Though such massive transfers usually trigger market panic, the latest transfer made no such impact.<\/p>\n

The company currently holds 8,285 BTC worth approximately $1.1 billion.<\/p>\n

Musk recently hailed Bitcoin, the cryptocurrency minted on energy,\u00a0as compared to\u00a0“fake” fiat currency because\u00a0governments can print “fake” money but they can’t fake energy.<\/p>\n

Earlier, when the tech tycoon floated the idea of a new political party following his criticism of the two-party system in the U.S., he confirmed<\/a> the party will embrace Bitcoin.<\/p>\n

On Oct. 7,\u00a0Bitcoin hit a new all-time high (ATH) of $126,198.07.\u00a0But the recent U.S.-China trade tension have crushed the crypto market.<\/p>\n

As per Kraken’s price feed<\/a>, Bitcoin was exchanging hands at\u00a0$108,575.63 at the time of writing.<\/p>\n
