A highly-rated unbeaten welterweight world champion is still targeting a potential showdown with Jaron Ennis<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2018Boots\u2019 Ennis made his return to the ring in his hometown of Philadelphia earlier this month, stopping Uisma Lima in the second round of their bout to capture the vacant WBA interim super-welterweight title.<\/a><\/p>\n

The 28-year-old from Philadelphia previously held the unified WBA and IBF world welterweight titles, a feat he achieved back in April when he stopped Lithuania\u2019s Eimantas Stanionis in the sixth round of their clash at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.<\/p>\n

As he prepares to move even closer to becoming a two-weight world champion, Ennis is still in the sights of reigning WBO world welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr<\/a>, after the pair failed to make a unification bout at 147lbs.<\/p>\n

Speaking on The Only Kayla podcast<\/a>, Norman was asked if he sees himself making the move up to super-welterweight at some point to allow a clash with \u2018Boots\u2019 Ennis to happen.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat fight\u2019s not off the table. I mean he living right there up the street so I don\u2019t see why not. I\u2019m still young in myself so I do see myself moving up to 154 eventually, if I move up to 154 I\u2019m staying at 154.\u201d<\/p>\n

Norman is set to make his return to the ring next month as he gears up to make the latest defence of his WBO welterweight title against countryman Devin Haney at the ANB Arena in Riyadh on Saturday November 22.<\/a><\/p>\n
