A Top 50 debut beckons for Alexandra Eala after a breakout season<\/a> on the WTA Tour. The 20-year-old is three spots away after a sensational 2025 in which she earned multiple Top 10 wins, reached her first Tour-level final, and captured her biggest title in the Guadalajara 125K. Claire Liu is languishing outside the Top 300 after struggling for consistency in results and fitness, but the American has what it takes to beat some of the tour\u2019s rising stars and showed her veteran know-how in knocking out Linda Fruhvirtova and Jimenez Kasintseva in qualifying. With Eala chasing her first win in four matches, this is bound to be a tough test for the Filipina.

Polina Kudermetova vs Tiantsoa Sarah Rakotomanga Rajaonah<\/p>\n

Head-to-head: first meeting<\/p>\n

Rakotomanga Rajaonah etched her name as one of the WTA\u2019s first-time champions this season. The French lefty\u2019s title success in Sao Paulo was an unexpected triumph. But at this stage of their careers, Polina Kudermetova is just more seasoned at the Tour level. The Russian\u2019s depth and explosive backhand are among her strongest attributes and can be uncontrollable when she is on. Expect Kudermetova to cruise to victory.

Ella Seidel vs Leolia Jeanjean<\/p>\n

Head-to-head: Jeanjean 1-0 Seidel<\/p>\n

Leolia Jeajean defeated Ella Seidel in the Australian Open<\/a> qualifying tournament back in January. But it\u2019s clear that Seidel has since shown admirable improvement in results and mentality in the past nine months and is in better form ahead of their second meeting. Jeanjean is the higher-ranked player by a couple of places, but Seidel sits higher in the WTA race in 83rd spot, showing she\u2019s outperformed the Frenchwoman in 2025. She packs a punch with a big serve and an aggressive forehand, and that could set the tone for her 43rd victory of the season.

Alycia Parks vs Ajla Tomljanovic<\/p>\n

Head-to-head: first meeting<\/p>\n

Alycia Parks is now winless in seven matches. Her last win at the Tour level was in late August when she beat Rebecca Sramkova in Monterrey. What is even more concerning, Parks has not won a single set in that barren spell. Ajla Tomljanovic is showing some signs of a resurgence. She reached the quarterfinals of Ningbo as a qualifier and was only beaten by the eventual champion Elena Rybakina. If Parks\u2019 game clicks, she can hit through most players from the baseline, but the American\u2019s shot selection remains suspect, and her power is unpredictable.
