{"id":217736,"date":"2025-10-22T11:32:10","date_gmt":"2025-10-22T11:32:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/217736\/"},"modified":"2025-10-22T11:32:10","modified_gmt":"2025-10-22T11:32:10","slug":"all-blacks-legend-maa-nonu-hits-another-ludicrous-milestone-at-43","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/217736\/","title":{"rendered":"All Blacks legend Ma&#8217;a Nonu hits another ludicrous milestone at 43"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ma\u2019a Nonu continues to drink from the fountain of youth as the All Blacks legend notched up another insane milestone this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Not only is the double Rugby World Cup winner the oldest player to ever feature in France\u2019s Top 14, but he is thriving in doing so, scoring in each of his three appearances for Toulon this season.<\/p>\n<p>The latest of which was against fellow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetrugby.com\/team\/france\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">French<\/a> giants Racing 92 as he helped his club to a 45-21 victory at the Stade Mayol with a powerful 25-minute cameo.<\/p>\n<p>Age-defying Ma\u2019a Nonu<\/p>\n<p>That match saw <a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetrugby.com\/tag\/maa-nonu\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nonu<\/a> earn his 100th cap for RC Toulon, the third team in his career with which he has reached that milestone, having done so with the Hurricanes and All Blacks previously.<\/p>\n<p>The legendary centre played 103 Test matches for the All Blacks and 126 games for the Hurricanes during his storied career in New Zealand, where he also played 39 times for the Blues and nine games with the Highlanders.<\/p>\n<p>Paired with his 61 caps for Wellington, 12 with the Black Rams in Japan and 44 appearances for USA club, the San Diego Legion, Nonu is on track to play 500 professional rugby before hanging up his boots, which he shows no signs of doing.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, he has already reached that milestone if you include his two matches for the Junior All Blacks and Barbarians, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>In February of this year, the 43-year-old rejoined RC Toulon, signing as a medical joker with his club for the injured Charles Ollivon.
