Severe delays were reported on the motorway as a result of the closure on Wednesday evening<\/p>\n

The M60 motorway has reopened to traffic after a crash near the Trafford Centre tonight (Wednesday, October 22).<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to the incident on the clockwise carriageway near Junction 10 at around 7pm.<\/p>\n

The motorway was shut to traffic for more than an hour as a result of the incident, with the closure causing severe traffic delays in the area.<\/p>\n

One driver suffered minor injuries in the incident, according to Greater Manchester Police<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The M60 has now fully reopened.<\/p>\n

A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: \u201cJust after 7pm this evening (Wednesday 22nd October), one fire engine from Eccles<\/a> fire station was called to reports of a road traffic collision involving three vehicles on the M60<\/a> between junction 9 and 10.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe crew arrived quickly at the scene. Firefighters used a Hearth Kit to make the vehicles safe. Firefighters were in attendance for around twenty minutes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Confirming the motorway had reopened, a National Highways spokesperson said: “The M60 in Greater Manchester is now open clockwise within J10 Trafford<\/a> Park following a multi vehicle collision. Please allow extra time if travelling in the area as delays of 45 mins remain.”<\/p>\n
