(4) GOLDEN ALEXIA\u00a0did not shape on the\u00a0Polytrack\u00a0last time but can contest the finish back on the grass.<\/p>\n
(2) POMEROL\u00a0is probably looking for further but can improve on her two Western Cape starts and is likely to improve on local debut.<\/p>\n
(5) MISSOURI FLAME\u00a0did not run badly on debut and should improve after a change of trainers.<\/p>\n
(4) MAGNUS THE GOOD\u00a0liked it back on the turf and can fight out the finish once\u00a0again.<\/p>\n
(3) PIBE DE ORO\u00a0was caught out of his ground last week and could be a threat this track and trip.<\/p>\n
(1) ORIGINATOR\u00a0found betting support in his second start and looks capable of improvement.<\/p>\n
(2) HOERIKWAGGO\u00a0has not been reliable but she did show improvement last time and could do even better this time around with jockey Richard Fourie aboard.<\/p>\n
(1) KAMAKAZI\u00a0has tended to be unreliable but was touched off last time and her trainer has his yard in good form.<\/p>\n
(3) ONE GIANT LEAP\u00a0has improved of late. Clearly not out of it.<\/p>\n
(4) STRANGE MAGIC\u00a0is battling to win but has a place chance.<\/p>\n
(2) ROYAL KINGDOM\u00a0is clearly improving and was a good winner of a handicap last time. He is back on the turf and he picked up only a five-point penalty for that win. So may well follow up.<\/p>\n
(5) SILVERY SURFER\u00a0ran well at this track last time and can be a danger.<\/p>\n
(3) ASINANTANGA\u00a0returns from a break but is not out of it.<\/p>\n
(1) PYROMANIAC\u00a0has not been reliable but is capable of contesting the finish.<\/p>\n
A competitive-looking race.<\/p>\n
(2) HOME REEF\u00a0has made good progress of late and is coming off some solid wins, so could pull off the hat-trick.<\/p>\n
(1) GEORGE HANDEL\u00a0quickened nicely to win on the\u00a0Polytrack\u00a0last week and is even better on the grass, so is a threat once again.<\/p>\n
(3) FLIGHT DISPLAY\u00a0is in good form and can contest the finish.<\/p>\n
More was expected from\u00a0(4) FIRST WISH, who\u00a0has not shown her best of late but is the best weighted runner under the conditions of this race.<\/p>\n
(7) WOOD WORLD\u00a0is on local debut but he is not at his very best on a soft track and it may be that way again on Friday.<\/p>\n
(1) GOLDEN PALM\u00a0was beaten on her debut but she has impressed with four smart wins since then. She looked better than ever when winning at\u00a0Greyville\u00a0in July and should be hard to beat in this line-up.<\/p>\n
(4) ALL SYSTEMS GO\u00a0ran well on debut and was an easy winner of his second start. He might well be the biggest threat to Golden Palm.<\/p>\n
Stable companions\u00a0(2) KING PRAWN\u00a0and\u00a0(6) AUGUSTA ROSSO\u00a0are still improving and are talented but should not beat her.<\/p>\n
A very open race.<\/p>\n
(3) RIVERSTONE\u00a0has been competitive off his handicap mark and could win on local debut but in a very open race.<\/p>\n
(8) BUFFALO BILL\u00a0continues to improve and can follow up on a narrow last win.<\/p>\n
Interestingly, stable jockey Richard Fourie is on\u00a0(7) VIRGIN RIVER\u00a0who makes her local debut for trainer Alan Greeff and she could score.<\/p>\n
(1) THE WINTER LAKE\u00a0has struggled around the turn in the Western Cape and should improve back up the straight.<\/p>\n
(12) BENEATH THE MOON\u00a0has been in good form of late and could win a race like this but it is very competitive.<\/p>\n
(2) MAKE BELIEVE\u00a0did well to win her second start and could have more to offer trying the turf.<\/p>\n
(11) CAPE CAPRI\u00a0is the other worth considering even if she was well beaten over course and distance last time.<\/p>\n
(13) ICE CAP\u00a0is capable of running well this course and distance.<\/p>\n
