{"id":221527,"date":"2025-10-24T00:55:08","date_gmt":"2025-10-24T00:55:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/221527\/"},"modified":"2025-10-24T00:55:08","modified_gmt":"2025-10-24T00:55:08","slug":"tiger-woods-and-rory-mcilroys-tgl-announce-notable-changes-for-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/221527\/","title":{"rendered":"Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy&#8217;s TGL announce notable changes for 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Organisers of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfmagic.com\/tour\/tgl\" data-entity-type=\"taxonomy_term\" data-entity-uuid=\"8fcaeb65-8b5f-4954-9470-b260e8bc689a\" data-entity-substitution=\"canonical\" title=\"TGL\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TGL<\/a> have announced several notable changes for season two.<\/p>\n<p>The hi-tech, indoor golf league finally launched after a one-year delay in January.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Atlanta Drive, comprising of Billy Horschel, Patrick Cantlay, Justin Thomas and Lucas Glover, were crowned the winners after staging a dramatic comeback in the inaugural championship match against New York.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And the league will return on 28 December, with the same six teams made up of PGA Tour stars attempting to win the SoFi Cup.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfmagic.com\/players\/tiger-woods\" data-entity-type=\"taxonomy_term\" data-entity-uuid=\"deb1f1ec-eef3-40a6-b478-21b336be3276\" data-entity-substitution=\"canonical\" title=\"Tiger Woods\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Woods<\/a> is unlikely to be involved as a player after recently undergoing his seventh career back surgery.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>But the 15-time major champion has promised he will attend all of Jupiter Links&#8217; matches in person.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Competitors will experience a few changes, though.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s take a look&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The GreenZone<\/p>\n<p>The putting surface has been increased by 38% and now spans 5,270 square feet (around the average size of a PGA Tour green).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There are also 12 different pin locations, up from seven.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>The putting surface&#8217;s undulations were softened slightly to create more natural slopes while also improving visibility for fans on-site.
