\n He admits he didn’t realise how popular I’m A Celebrity was before joining and was shocked by the public reaction\n<\/p>\n
\n He said: “When I rewatched what I did, the way it was edited made me look like such a bad person \u2013 like I was doing it on purpose to upset everyone in camp. But honestly, I was just being silly \u2013 a bit boisterous. That\u2019s just who I am.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Despite the criticism, Amir said he’d do it all over again.\n<\/p>\n
\n He added: \u201cWould I do it again? I probably would \u2013 yeah, why not?\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cBut this time, I\u2019d tell them straight: \u2018Yeah, I ate them \u2013 what are you going to do about it?'”\n<\/p>\n
\n Reflecting on his two appearances on the show, Amir said the first experience was far tougher, describing it as “intense” and “crazy”.\n<\/p>\n
\n He explained that not knowing what to expect made it harder to cope with the jungle’s challenges – from snakes to the spiders.\n<\/p>\n
\n By the time he returned for I\u2019m A Celeb: All Stars, he felt \u201cbraver\u201d and \u201cstronger\u201d, saying he\u2019d learned to face his fears.\n<\/p>\n
\n Away from the drama, Amir said he\u2019s proud of what he brought to the show, especially representation for Asian and Muslim viewers.\n<\/p>\n
\n He explained that producers ensured he could stick to his halal diet.\n<\/p>\n
\n He added: \u201cThey made sure I had halal meals, or I\u2019d just eat rice and beans.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n “I had lots of people come up to me saying, \u201cWe never watched it before, but we did because you were on it.\u201d That says a lot.\n<\/p>\n
\n “I appreciate all of it and it was incredible to be part of a show which was full of so many good people.”\n<\/p>\n

\n Since retiring from boxing, the former welterweight champion has been taking time out but admits TV offers keep coming in.\n<\/p>\n
\n He said he\u2019s turned down Strictly Come Dancing, feeling it \u201cwouldn\u2019t suit\u201d him, but hinted he might one day take on SAS: Who Dares Wins.\n<\/p>\n
\n For now, though, Amir says he\u2019s \u201cchilling\u201d, focusing on family life, and waiting for the right project to come along.\n<\/p>\n
\n He said:” I get offered lots of big shows, but right now I\u2019m just chilling. If the right opportunity comes and the timing is right, then yeah, I\u2019d do it. But I don\u2019t want to say yes to everything.\n<\/p>\n
\n “I\u2019m in a fortunate place where I can pick and choose. Even SAS: Who Dares Wins has been thrown at me \u2014 going back into training camp could be good. Maybe one day I\u2019ll feel like doing that again, but at the moment, I don\u2019t want to push my body. I\u2019m kind of semi-retired.”\n<\/p>\n
