Mass production partly delayed to 2026<\/p>\n
South Korean trade journal TheElec<\/a> recently outlined well-founded reasons for the partially delayed availability of the Galaxy S26 lineup. According to its report, industry insiders emphasised that Samsung will start manufacturing the Galaxy S26 Ultra in December 2025 as planned, whilst the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+<\/a> (whose development reportedly began later) are expected to enter production in January. Sources noted that even though development work has concluded for both the base and Ultra models, it would make sense to hold off the mass production of the Galaxy S26 until the Galaxy S26+ is finalised, given how similar these two devices are apart from their size.
<\/p>\n The report also revealed that only the S26 Ultra\u2019s OLED \u201cPrivacy Display\u201d <\/a>has been officially approved for production at this time. The rumoured cancellation of the Galaxy S26 Edge<\/a> late into its development \u2013 allegedly due to the S25 Edge<\/a>\u2019s disappointing sales \u2013 may have affected the completion of the Galaxy S26 series after all.
