I hope I\u2019m still playing at that point,\u201d McIlroy said at a press conference last week.<\/p>\n \u201cI would love to be the European team captain at some point, but that will be beyond my playing days \u2014 or at least when my playing days are coming to an end and I\u2019m not good enough to make the team.<\/p>\n \u201cHopefully that\u2019s not in 2027.
