\n St Edmunds Hospital, in Bury St Edmunds, officially opened the upgraded space on Friday, October 17, with the town’s MP Dr Peter Prinsley leading the ribbon-cutting ceremony.\n<\/p>\n
\n Dr Prinsley said: \u201cI was delighted to open the newly refurbished reception area at St Edmunds Hospital and to see first-hand the investment being made to improve patient care and experience here in Bury St Edmunds.\n<\/p>\n
\n “This modernisation reflects the dedication of staff and management to providing first-class care in an environment that feels welcoming, accessible, and supportive to all who walk through the door.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n The refurbishment focused on upgrading the reception and patient waiting areas, creating a brighter and more comfortable environment. The project included modernised interiors, improved accessibility, and sustainable lighting, and was delivered with the support of local contractors.\n<\/p>\n
\n Part of the Circle Health Group, St Edmunds Hospital is a 27-bed private facility which, over the past year, has treated more than 3,400 patients and performed over 2,400 operations.\n<\/p>\n
\n During his visit, Dr Prinsley toured the hospital with Peter Lord, executive director of St Edmunds Hospital, and met with staff to discuss ongoing work and future plans.\n<\/p>\n
\n A roundtable discussion also took place to address Dr Prinsley\u2019s healthcare priorities for the constituency and the hospital\u2019s role in supporting the NHS and wider community.\n<\/p>\n
\n Mr Lord said: \u201cIt was a privilege to welcome Dr Prinsley to St Edmunds Hospital and to have him formally open our new reception area.\n<\/p>\n
\n We are committed to continuing to invest in our facilities and services to meet the needs of patients across Suffolk.\n<\/p>\n
