Harry Redknapp\u2019s wife Sandra is reported to be in hospital. It was revealed by racing commentator Matt Chapman on ITV4 on Thursday night that she is receiving medical treatment as he sent well wishes.<\/p>\n

Matt had been reporting live from Great Yarmouth Racecourse where he was speaking about the King of Bears, a horse owned by football legend Harry, which placed sixth in the race.<\/p>\n

He then sent his best wishes to the former I\u2019m A Celeb star and his wife as he said: “Sandra, if you\u2019re listening in – I think she wanted to watch Emmerdale, but Harry\u2019s making her watch this race – I really hope King of Bears runs well. He\u2019s a character. He could win it, he could finish last, but he gives Jack Doughty a big chance for George Scott.”<\/p>\n

Sandra suffered from ill health and struggled to breathe following a Covid battle in 2022. Harry, 78, previously spoke of his worries at the time for his wife, who he has been with since the pair were both just 17.<\/p>\n

He told the Mirror<\/a> in 2022: \u201cThe symptoms weren\u2019t good, if I\u2019m truthful. You start to think about all kinds of sinister things.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s been a real worry. Sandra has suffered. Her voice had packed up and she was struggling for breath. Even swallowing food became difficult. She could choke on food easily if we weren\u2019t careful.”<\/p>\n

Santa added: \u201cYou don\u2019t realise what your vocal cords do until they\u2019re not working, because it affects breathing as well as talking. The shortness of breath was very difficult. My voice would vibrate and was very weak.”<\/p>\n

Former football manager Harry revealed in 2023 he had no plans to retire from the spotlight, and credited Sandra for the decision.<\/p>\n

Asked if he was taking a step back, he said: “Not a chance. I can’t. I find it hard to say no to things \u2013 it drives Sandra mad. Recently, I’ve done Harry’s Heroes for ITV managed in Soccer Aid and last year Jamie and I filmed Jamie and Harry’s World Cup Challenge [for Sky Max]. What a laugh that was.”<\/p>\n

Sandra, who previously suffered from ovarian cancer and had a battle with sepsis in 2018 which nearly saw Harry pull out of his planned I’m A Celeb stint, which he’d go on to win.<\/p>\n

He previously said: “I was terrified I was going to lose her and I nearly didn’t get on the plane. But she wasn’t having it \u2013 she wanted me to go. I’ll never forget the moment she came into camp to see me. It was the first time she’d seen me cry.”<\/p>\n
