Filming on DC Studios\u2019 \u201cSupergirl\u201d film wrapped in May. However, as with any major blockbuster production these days, time was also set aside for some reshoots to take place at a later date.<\/p>\n

Scooper Daniel Richtman<\/a> has now reported that the later date has arrived with cameras currently rolling again for what will amount to approximately two weeks of additional photography.<\/p>\n

Richtman says he believes the additional filming will include new scenes with David Corenswet\u2019s Superman.<\/p>\n

That could go some way toward explaining why Corenswet\u2019s Superman costume, which was on display at the Warner Bros. Studio Tours exhibit, was recently removed and replaced with a note reading \u201cSuperman costume currently being used by production.\u201d<\/p>\n

Initial speculation about that on Friday suggested it was for \u201cMan of Tomorrow,\u201d but that project doesn\u2019t begin filming for another six months.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, THR<\/a> indicated that an early version of the \u201cSupergirl\u201d film, sans much of its VFX and such, recently had a quiet screening on the Burbank lot with a select group of executives and a few members of James Gunn\u2019s DC stable.<\/p>\n

Milly Alcock plays the role after briefly appearing in the closing moments of \u201cSuperman\u201d. In the film, she travels across the galaxy to celebrate her 21st birthday with Krypto the Superdog. Along the way, she meets a young woman named Ruthye and winds up on a murderous quest for revenge.<\/p>\n

Also starring are Eve Ridley as Ruthye Mary Knolle, Jason Momoa as Lobo, Matthias Schoenaerts as the villain Krem of the Yellow Hills, and both David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham as Kara\u2019s parents Zor-El and Alura.<\/p>\n

\u201cSupergirl\u201d will fly into cinemas on June 26th 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Warner Bros.
