Salford Red Devils have confirmed the exit of three more players as the club stand on the brink of going into administration with their rescheduled HMRC hearing looming large.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s been a woeful year for Salford with their financial mismanagement meaning they now face possibly being wound up by HMRC over their unpaid debts, with a hearing scheduled for Tuesday 28th October.<\/p>\n
The club are believed to owe in the region of over \u00a3500,000 and a promised statement from ownership has not yet come.<\/p>\n
That promise of further communications came in the aftermath of their relegation from Super League, something that was confirmed after they dropped out of the top twelve clubs in terms of IMG scoring.<\/p>\n
A statement from 17th October read<\/a>: \u201cAn important announcement regarding the future direction of the club will be made next week. It is our sincere hope that this forthcoming communication will unify all supporters and stakeholders.\u201d<\/p>\n That statement never came and the club are now a day away from their crunch HMRC meeting. In fact, the only statements that have come from Salford since then have confirmed more departures.<\/p>\n Salford Red Devils confirm three quickfire exits<\/p>\n Paul Rowley was the first of those major departures with the Salford Red Devils head coach being appointed as Paul Wellens\u2019 replacement at St Helens<\/a>.<\/p>\n Since then, players such as Jayden Nikorima have also left but this past few days have seen three more exits.<\/p>\n Sam Davis has signed for London Broncos a year after joining Salford from the capital club, with the hooker recently seen in training with the Broncos <\/a>before any official announcement was made.<\/p>\n Salford have also confirmed the exit of young outside back Sam Hill who was one of the bright sparks of their torrid year. Speaking on his exit, he said: \u201cIt was my dream to play for this wonderful club, I\u2019m sad that it\u2019s come to an end, I will see you again Salford fans.\u201d<\/p>\n A further exit has now been confirmed with Charlie Glover signing for League One champions North Wales Crusaders and he\u2019s penned a lengthy exit statement.<\/p>\n Glover wrote: \u201cI\u2019m honoured to have come through the different pathways we have here, and I\u2019m grateful for every opportunity I\u2019ve had \u2014 from Rising Stars all the way to the first team. To be known as \u2018one of our own\u2019 by a club and their fans is special, and it\u2019s something I\u2019ll carry with me for the rest of my career.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m proud to have achieved my goal of playing Super League whilst representing this fantastic club. Hopefully, we\u2019ll see Salford back where they belong in Super League in the near future.<\/p>\n \u201cI just want to thank everyone involved in the club who has made my time at Salford so memorable \u2014 my teammates, the coaches, the staff, the foundation, and most importantly, the fans.<\/p>\n \u201cMe and my family have got some memories for life.
