The actor reflected on their long-running journey with the movies and shared hopes of being more involved in a potential <a href=\"https:\/\/www.superherohype.com\/tag\/Deadpool-4\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Deadpool 4<\/a> following a smaller appearance in Deadpool &amp; Wolverine.<\/p>\n<p>Morena Baccarin wants her role to increase in Deadpool 4<\/p>\n<p>In a recent interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/tv\/columns\/morena-baccarin-sheriff-country-deadpool-nicholas-galitzine-he-man-masters-of-the-universe-1236557187\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Variety<\/a> while promoting CBS\u2019 Sheriff Country, Morena Baccarin discussed her hopes of returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a bigger role in a potential Deadpool 4.<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting on her time as Vanessa Carlysle, she said, \u201cIt\u2019s been such a long journey. I can\u2019t [believe] it\u2019s almost 10 years since we shot the first one. I never would have imagined in my wildest dreams that that\u2019s what it would have turned out to be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Baccarin added, \u201cWe had so much fun shooting it. It was such a fun world. I hope that I get to do more of it and participate a little bit more than the last one. But I understood that it was the bro comedy.\u201d The actress reprised her role in Deadpool &amp; Wolverine, appearing briefly in a reunion scene with Ryan Reynolds\u2019 Wade Wilson.<\/p>\n<p>The 2024 film marked the franchise\u2019s first release under Marvel Studios and became the MCU\u2019s first R-rated installment. Deadpool &amp; Wolverine grossed $1.3 billion worldwide and earned a \u201ccertified fresh\u201d 78% critics\u2019 score and 94% audience rating on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rottentomatoes.com\/m\/deadpool_and_wolverine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>. Its consensus read, \u201cRyan Reynolds makes himself at home in the MCU with acerbic wit while Hugh Jackman provides an Adamantium backbone to proceedings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While Deadpool 4 has not been officially announced, Marvel Studios is reportedly developing future installments featuring Reynolds\u2019 character. In the comics, Baccarin\u2019s character, Vanessa, becomes the mutant mercenary Copycat. <\/p>\n<p>With the MCU introducing more mutants ahead of its X-Men reboot, Vanessa\u2019s storyline could expand to explore her shapeshifting abilities and her connection to Deadpool, continuing the arc hinted at in Deadpool 2 and Deadpool &amp; Wolverine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A Deadpool franchise star has expressed interest in taking on a larger role in Marvel\u2019s next sequel.
