While the figures point to easing inflationary pressure overall, the cost of everyday necessities continues to rise for many islanders.<\/p>\n

The Household Cost Indices (HCI), which tracks inflation across different household types, showed the steepest impact among renters and partial owners who faced a 4.8% rise, the highest of all groups. High-income households saw the lowest increase at 3.2%.<\/p>\n

The increasing cost of living was identified by many voters at June’s general elections as one of the key issues. <\/a><\/p>\n
