\n The West Sussex house has been revealed as the winner of the 2025 British Institute of Interior Design’s (BIID) Interior Design Awards for the South East region.\n<\/p>\n
\n Studio 9 Design, an interior design firm in Brighton, was recognised at the awards for \u201csensitively reimagining\u201d the mansion as a \u201cwarm and contemporary family home\u201d.\n<\/p>\n
\n The brief focused on softening the mansion\u2019s scale and improving areas of natural light to balance the darker rear areas of the main house.\n<\/p>\n
\n Studio 9 Design led both the architecture and interiors, and the result is a home with \u201cemotional depth, and a calm and cohesive space using antiques, bespoke pieces and personal touches\u201d.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

\n Judges praised the \u201csensitive and thoughtful design approach” and how the use of \u201cnatural, earthy colours and careful interventions were highlighted as enhancing the property\u2019s historic character while improving functionality and reducing environmental impact\u201d.\n<\/p>\n
\n The project was considered award-worthy for \u201csuccessfully balancing restoration with contemporary living needs, demonstrating a clear respect for both the building and its natural surroundings\u201d.\n<\/p>\n
\n The British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) revealed the winners of the 2025 BIID Interior Design Awards at a ceremony held at Drapers\u2019 Hall in London on Thursday October 23.\n<\/p>\n

\n The event was hosted by presenter Angela Scanlon and welcomed 200 leading design professionals for an afternoon of recognition and celebration.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n The ceremony honoured winners across eight regional categories, including the brand new international category award, as well as the Anna Whitehead Prize for Sustainability.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
