Former Indian cricket star Yuvraj Singh has had a life marked by personal challenges, including a battle with cancer, alongside his cricketing achievements. In a past interview with Simi Garewal, Yuvraj revealed that he encouraged his parents to separate due to ongoing tensions at home, particularly his difficult relationship with his father, Yograj Singh, a former cricketer and actor. Yuvraj described living under the pressure of his father\u2019s high expectations, explaining that Yograj wanted to see his own ambitions fulfilled through him and expected him to play for India.<\/p>\n
At 17, Yuvraj chose to live with his mother, Shabnam Singh, whom he deeply appreciates for her sacrifices, calling her devotion irreplaceable. However, his relationship with his father remains strained. Yograj, who later remarried and had two more children, has openly acknowledged their tense bond, asserting that he believes strict discipline is necessary to build character, which Yuvraj and his family experienced.<\/p>\n
