We’ve compared the specs of the two heavyweights and highlighted the key differences below.

Price and Availability

The Oppo Find X9 Pro will be available from early November, with a starting price of £1099/€1299.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is almost unbelievably nearly a year old, having launched back in February 2025. With this in mind, although its official starting RRP is £1249/$1299, it’s not uncommon to pick the handset up with a price drop.

SQUIRREL_PLAYLIST_10207165

One of the biggest differences between the Oppo Find X9 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is actually found under their respective hoods. While the Galaxy S25 Ultra runs on a custom version of Qualcomm’s 2025 chip, Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, the Find X9 Pro runs on the newer MediaTek Dimensity 9500.

Oppo Find X9 Pro. Image Credit (Oppo)

While we’re yet to review the Find X9 Pro, Oppo promises its Dimensity 9500 chipset achieves up to 32% stronger performance with 55% less power consumption, while its GPU delivers a 33% boost in graphics too. We’ll have to wait and see how these claims measure up in real-world use.

In comparison, the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy ensures the phone feels fast and responsive in day-to-day use, with apps opening instantly and no noticeable lag. During our benchmarking tests, as we found the phone performed marginally better than the Oppo Find X8 Pro, last year’s Oppo flagship, so we’d expect the Find X9 Pro to offer an even faster performance to the S25 Ultra.

Galaxy S25 Ultra powers Galaxy AI

Arguably one of the headline features of the Galaxy S25 series is the Galaxy AI suite, which is packed with AI-powered tools including Circle to Search, Now Brief and access to Google Gemini Live.

While the Oppo Find X9 Pro doesn’t quite offer the same expansive suite, it is still equipped with AI features found within ColorOS 16, including AI Mind Space which allows users to capture on-screen content by clicking the Snap Key, and AI Recorder which generates titles and summaries.

Galaxy S25 Ultra Now Brief. Image Credit (Trusted Reviews)

Oppo Find X9 Pro has a 200MP telephoto lens

Considering the S25 Ultra holds a spot in our best camera phone list, and was hailed “the best for zooming”, the Oppo Find X9 Pro has its work cut out for it. However, its specs suggest the handset is up to the challenge, thanks to its whopping 200MP 3x telephoto lens.

Oppo explains the lens was developed in partnership with Hasselblad and features an ultra-fast f/2.1 aperture for “superior light gathering” and a 10cm focus distance for macro photography too. In addition, the phone’s Super Zoom algorithm promises to capture clear images up to 120x.

Not only that, but you can also pick up Oppo’s Hasselblad Teleconverter lens, a professional-grade and unsubtle accessory that enables up to 200x digital zoom for photos and 50x for video.

Hasselblad Teleconverter lens attached to Find X9 Pro. Image Credit (Trusted Reviews)

Although the S25 Ultra’s cameras are near-enough identical to its S24 Ultra predecessor, there are notable improvements especially with the 50MP 5x telephoto lens. The lens is able to get up to 30x closer to a subject, while still offering more detail and improved contrast.

Oppo Find X9 Pro has a much larger battery

With an enormous 7500mAh cell, the largest found in any Oppo flagship, the Find X9 Pro promises to improve on the impressive battery life of the Find X8 Pro which easily offered two days of charge.

While the S25 Ultra’s 5000mAh cell sounds pretty measly in comparison and, although it’s definitely not a two-day device, we did find we ended busy days with around 20-30% left in the tank. Of course, the exact amount of battery will depend entirely on your personal usage.

Otherwise, the Find X9 Pro supports charging speeds of 80W SuperVOOC (wired) and 50W AirVOOC (wireless) whereas the S25 Ultra maxes out at 45W wired and 15W wireless.

Galaxy S25 Ultra has a larger display

Whether you prefer a slightly larger phone or not depends mainly on your personal preference and how you plan on using the handset. The Find X9 Pro has a 6.78-inch screen whereas the Galaxy S25 Ultra sports a 6.9-inch alternative.

Despite being relatively unchanged from the S24 Ultra, we were impressed with the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s display and found its premium tech including an LTPO 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support and a peak brightness of 2600 nits made for a solid phone experience.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Image Credit (Trusted Reviews)

Although it is smaller, the Find X9 Pro sports a similar plethora of high-end screen technologies including a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak outdoor brightness of 3600 nits and eye-care dimming technology.

Early Verdict

As we haven’t reviewed the Oppo Find X9 Pro, we’ll refrain from giving a conclusive verdict for the time being. However, with a powerful chipset that’s likely to overtake last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, 200MP telephoto lens and a massive 7500mAh battery, the Find X9 Pro promises to be a solid alternative to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

As we’re drawing closer to the end of the year, the 2026 flagships are slowly starting to reveal…

[16
2306,86,56,54,55
0":"post-232612","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-mobile","8":"tag-mobile","9":"tag-technology","10":"tag-uk","11":"tag-united-kingdom","12":"tag-unitedkingdom
["GET
