Tyrique Hyde<\/a> and Justine Ndiba started dating after becoming the Love Island Games<\/a> runner-ups, and just weeks after filming ended, he\u2019s told her how he sees her. He appeared on her podcast ahead of his departure to Love Island UK, where he didn\u2019t hold back at all.<\/p>\n Despite spending the last few weeks in Los Angeles with Justine and the rest of the Love Island Games season two cast, Tyrique sadly told Justine on her Just Sayin\u2019 podcast<\/a> that he currently sees her as a friend. He said, \u201cBro, even if we\u2019re not something romantic\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n He added: \u201cWe can be friends. I\u2019ll always have respect for you, I see you as a friend. People are like, \u2018What\u2019s Justine to you?\u2019 I\u2019ll be like, \u2018That\u2019s man\u2019s bredren.\u2019 Like, you can\u2019t talk s*** about Justine in front of me, like, concentrate.\u201d<\/p>\n He said: \u201cI don\u2019t see myself having anything serious but, if you want a bit of fun, Justine, you know what time it is.\u201d She responded and said: \u201cCall me when you\u2019re in phase three, Tyrique, because I think you have great qualities and we could have fun together.\u201d<\/p>\n Justine said how they \u201cget drunk, make out, fight, and then wake up\u201d while Tyrique said he tried to ask her on a date, to which she said she was \u201cdoing her emails\u201d. They also joked that, if he gets to 45 years old and hasn\u2019t found love, they\u2019d find each other again.<\/p>\n Just a couple of weeks ago, he told Blavity\u2019s Shadow and Act: \u201cIt\u2019s still very soon. I feel like I\u2019m in a sticky situation because it\u2019s like, neither of us went in there for love or to try and find someone whatsoever. We just ended up finding each other and liked each other.\u201d<\/p>\n He added: \u201cBut at the same time, I\u2019m from the UK, she\u2019s from US, not looking for anything real serious right now. We\u2019ve had a couple of conversations. But I still see her as more than a friend. It\u2019s kind of in the weird bracket. I\u2019m in LA right now, she\u2019s been with her family.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been chilling. We\u2019re going to go on a couple of dates, for sure, and see what happens. No pressure. I don\u2019t like putting pressure on these things and people get so invested and kind of ruin things. It\u2019s my life, it\u2019s Justine\u2019s life, and we\u2019ll navigate that the best way,\u201d Ty said.<\/p>\n He continued: \u201cI see her as more than a friend but if it\u2019s anything too serious, definitely not right now. Could it be? Who knows?
