His selections went as follows:<\/p>\n<p>Peter Schmeichel or Edwin van der Sar? Peter SchmeichelDenis Irwin or Patrice Evra? Denis IrwinRio Ferdinand or Jaap Stam? Rio Ferdinand (Scholes admitted this one was \u201cso hard\u201d)Nemanja Vidic or Steve Bruce? Nemanja VidicGary Neville or Antonio Valencia? Gary NevilleRyan Giggs or Cristiano Ronaldo? Ruud van Nistelrooy<\/p>\n<p>Scholes finished with an apology, saying it was \u201cso hard to pick some positions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There were certainly some debatable calls \u2013 choosing Giggs over Ronaldo and Beckham over Best will raise eyebrows, while Rooney against Cantona is about as tough as it gets.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/paul-scholes-names-who-he-thinks-is-the-greatest-manchester-united-player-ever-ahead-of-wayne-rooney\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Scholes says Giggs is Manchester United\u2019s greatest player ever<\/a> \u2013 so maybe it isn\u2019t too much of a surprise. <\/p>\n<p>So how does Scholes\u2019 team look on paper?<\/p>\n<p>As Manchester United lineups go, it\u2019s pretty formidable. <a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/brighton-boss-fabian-hurzelers-ruben-amorin-verdict-amid-man-utd-frustration\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ruben Amorim\u2019s current United side is performing well<\/a>, but he\u2019d surely love a few of these names in his squad.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"737\" height=\"960\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/paul-scholes-dream-man-united-xi.jpg\" alt=\"Paul Scholes dream Man United XI on lineup builder\" class=\"wp-image-999002\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The big unanswered question, though, would Scholes would have picked himself?
