Salford Red Devils fan favourite Loghan Lewis has bid an emotional farewell after leaving the club to sign with a team in Super League.<\/p>\n
Lewis arrived midway through the 2024 season and quickly became loved by the Salford faithful, however, injuries hampered him in 2025 and he only managed to play seven games, taking his total to 18 for the Red Devils.<\/p>\n
Off-contract and with huge uncertainty hanging over Salford, who had their HMRC hearing adjourned yet again with club owners releasing a statement to announce all debts would be paid<\/a>, Lewis has now signed with a new club for 2026.<\/p>\n The 22-year-old has become the latest man to sign with newly-promoted Bradford Bulls<\/a>, becoming another former Salford man at Odsal along with former Red Devils assistant Kurt Haggerty, now Bulls head coach, and playing pair Ethan Ryan and Jayden Nikorima.<\/p>\n Lewis has signed a two-year deal with Bradford as the Bulls flesh out their squad to be Super League-ready.<\/p>\n Loghan Lewis leaves Salford Red Devils<\/p>\n Both Salford and Bradford released statements to confirm the move with Lewis\u2019 words to the Red Devils fans and players prominent within Salford\u2019s statement.<\/p>\n The Australian said: \u201cI just want to thank the fans of this club. Since I arrived, you\u2019ve been nothing but welcoming. You made a young man who has come across from the other side of the world feel at home.<\/p>\n \u201cTo all the boys I\u2019ve put the jersey on with, I\u2019ve made friends and memories for life, and I\u2019ll look back on my time at Salford with nothing but good memories.\u201d<\/p>\n Lewis also spoke on his move to Bradford club media: \u201cI can\u2019t wait, I\u2019ve done a little bit of research on the club and seen what they were like in the golden days. I saw what the club did when they were a powerhouse back in the day and I think we\u2019ve got the people inside the club and the staff around it that can bring that feel good factor back to the city.\u201d<\/p>\n Speaking on the Salford connection at Odsal, Lewis said: \u201cLinking back up with Kurt was a big factor, having the connection I do with him which I also have with some of the other boys like Jayden [Nikorima] and Ethan [Ryan]. Having that familiarity amongst ourselves will be massive, we\u2019re so tight off the field as well so it shows when it comes to on-field stuff, how connected we are will play a massive part.\u201d<\/p>\n Head coach Haggerty added: \u201cLoghan\u2019s a fantastic character, he\u2019s a fantastic person and he\u2019ll certainly bring energy to the team and to the club.
