RTL, the Luxembourgish national broadcaster, has revealed the eight participants of Luxembourg Song Contest 2026 today.<\/p>\n

Following a series of auditions, an international jury has chosen the finalists that will compete in the Luxembourg Song Contest 2026. The finalists are:<\/p>\n

\nEva Marija
\nHugo One
\nIrem

Andrew the Martian<\/p>\n

A completely self-taught artist, Andrew sees music as the language of his emotions. From a young age, he has been captivated by the raw connection between performers and their audiences. Born in Portugal and living in Luxembourg for the past 10 years, Andrew devotes himself entirely to music, cultivating diverse and authentic sounds.<\/p>\n

Daryss<\/p>\n

Daryss comes from a theater background, having studied at the Conservatoire of Dramatic Arts in Mons. Storytelling through acting, singing, and dancing has driven her since childhood. After numerous plays and musicals, she now focuses more on music to express emotions
and connect with others. She runs a theater studio for children and adults, and also directs and teaches, while helping out in the family restaurant.<\/p>\n

Eva Marija<\/p>\n

At the age of three, Eva Marija fell in love with the violin after watching Alexander Rybak\u2019s Eurovision-winning Fairytale. She pursued a multi-disciplinary path at the Luxembourg Conservatory, studying violin, singing, piano, and bass guitar across genres from jazz and classical to pop\/rock. Born and raised in Luxembourg to Slovenian parents, she remains connected to both cultures. Performing since age 14, she\u2019s currently studying songwriting in London.<\/p>\n

Hugo One<\/p>\n

Hugo One began singing in his school choir-and never stopped. Alongside classical training, he\u2019s performed on Luxembourg stages from the Philharmonie to Den Atelier and Luxembourg Pride. His musical world blends soul, pop, and disco to move both body and heart. Outside
of music, Hugo works as an event manager.<\/p>\n

Irem<\/p>\n

Irem trained in classical music theory and jazz dance at the Luxembourg Conservatory. She performed in several musicals with \u2018Koll\u00e9isch in Concert Musical\u2019 before launching her own musical journey. Her debut EP Look At Me came out in 2023, followed by Diamonds & Birkins in 2025. She regularly performs at festivals and venues across Luxembourg and is making a name for herself in the local music scene. She\u2019s also pursuing a master\u2019s degree in physics in Vienna.<\/p>\n

Luzac<\/p>\n

Singer, songwriter, and composer Luzac fell in love with singing after watching High School Musical at age 9. He spent years writing and composing for other talents before launching his solo career in 2021 with the single \u201cJ\u2019y arriverai\u201d. After placing third in LSC 2025 with \u201cJe danse\u201d,
he collaborated with many Luxembourgish artists and performed at numerous festivals. Alongside his music career, Luzac works as a special education teacher in psycho-educational support.<\/p>\n

ShiroKuro<\/p>\n

ShiroKuro is a pop\/rock trio based in Li\u00e8ge. Their debut EP In Sight was released in 2022. Matias Pollicino, Nathana\u00ebl Paulis and the Luxembourger Louis Comblin met at the Royal Conservatory of Li\u00e8ge, where two earned master\u2019s degrees in contemporary composition and one in percussion. They later specialised in concert production, artist management, and music production. All classically trained, Louis plays guitar and piano, Matias is on drums, and Nathana\u00ebl handles vocals and violin.<\/p>\n

Steve Castile<\/p>\n

Steve Castile discovered music through a piano app on his iPod \u2013 soon replaced by real instruments. He\u2019s played guitar and piano for 15 years and later took up songwriting and music production. Eight years ago, he added singing to his repertoire. Alongside music, Steve earned a bachelor\u2019s in psychology and is currently completing a master\u2019s in Cultural Media Studies in Freiburg im Breisgau.<\/p>\n

The international jury that chose the finalists were:<\/p>\n

Karin Gunnarsson: producer of Melodifestivalen (Sweden\u2019s national selection for Eurovision)
\nG\u00edsli Berg: member of the Icelandic Eurovision delegation since 2019 and producer of S\u00f6ngvakeppnin (Iceland\u2019s national selection for Eurovision)
\nPaul Jordan, also known as \u201cDr. Eurovision\u201d: British Eurovision Song Contest expert. He worked behind the scenes at the contest between 2014 and 2018, and he was also a member of the international jury for France (2019) and Ireland (2023)
\nLudovic-Alexandre Vidal: French songwriter and musical theatre writer. Author and ESC fan from the very beginning, he was part of the team that wrote and composed \u201cLa poup\u00e9e monte le son\u201d (Luxembourg\u2019s entry for Eurovision 2025).
\nElsie Bay: Norwegian singer-songwriter. She has written multiple entries for the Norwegian national selection Melodi Grand Prix, and for other national selections in Germany and Luxembourg, including \u201cDrowning in the Rain\u201d, which was sung by Krick at the Luxembourg Song Contest 2024.<\/p>\n

The entries will be released at a later date in December.<\/p>\n

The third edition of the Luxembourg Song Contest will take place on January 24 in Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette. The live final will see eight acts compete to represent Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna.<\/p>\n

Laura Thorn represented Luxembourg at Eurovision 2025 with \u201cLa poup\u00e9e monte le son\u201d. She finished 22nd with 47 points. This is the country\u2019s worst result since its comeback in 2024, when Luxembourg came 13th with Tali and \u201cFighter\u201d.<\/p>\n

Luxembourg was one of seven countries to take part in the first Eurovision Song Contest in 1956. Luxembourg participated in the contest 37 times before withdrawing from the contest after 1993. During these 37 years, they won the contest five times. The last of these victories came in 1983. Luxembourg came close to returning to the contest in 2004, but opted against it due to the financial cost of participating. They eventually returned in 2024, after an absence of 31 years. <\/p>\n
