\u2018Miau Miau\u2019, the Azerbaijani entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025, has been released.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Ya\u011fmur will represent Azerbaijan on their return to Junior Eurovision after last participating in 2021. She was selected from over 60 applicants, of which 15 were invited to in-person auditions. Ya\u011fmur is 12 years old and has been performing since she was 8 years old. Among her favourite singers are Michael Jackson, Aygun Kazimova and Jennie from Blackpink.<\/p>\n

Azerbaijan will return to Junior Eurovision this year for the first time since 2021. On their last appearance in the contest, Sona Azizova finished in 5th place with the song \u201cOne of Those Days\u201d. This was Azerbaijan\u2019s best result to date.<\/p>\n

Azerbaijan debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest at the 2012 contest in Amsterdam. The nation had previously attempted to participate in the contest in 2008 but withdrew before the competition was held. The country\u2019s record in the contest has not been as strong as in the Eurovision Song Contest. Azerbaijan\u2019s best result came in 2021 on their last appearance in the contest, where Sona Azizova placed 5th with the song \u201cOne of Those Days\u201d. <\/p>\n
