released by Rhinos earlier this month<\/a> and has now been confirmed as a Trinity player on a three-year deal, until the end of the 2028 Betfred Super League season.\u00a0 He had a year remaining on his Leeds contract, but a release was agreed allowing him to \u201clook at other options for next season and beyond\u201d.<\/p>\nSon of club legend \u2013 and current England rugby union skills and kicking coach \u2013 Kevin Sinfield, the half-back made his Leeds debut in 2022 and scored six tries, two goals and a one-pointer in 29 appearances for Rhinos.<\/p>\n
He featured 14 times this year, as well as playing regularly for Leeds\u2019 title-winning reserves side.<\/p>\n
Though highly-rated at Rhinos, his first team opportunities were limited by the presence of past and current Man of Steel winners Brodie Croft and Jake Connor.<\/p>\n
Wakefield Trinity swoop for Jack Sinfield on three-year deal<\/p>\n
Wakefield boss Daryl Powell played alongside Kevin Sinfield at Leeds and was the coach who appointed him captain in 2002.<\/p>\n
Despite facing competition from\u00a0Jake Trueman, Mason Lino and Oliver Russell \u2013 as well as youngsters Myles Lawford and Kian McGann \u2013 at his new club, Sinfield insisted:\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m really excited to be joining Wakefield Trinity.<\/p>\n
\u201c[I am] glad the rumours can be confirmed finally and I can\u2019t wait to get down to it and meet all the lads.<\/p>\n
