Paul Merson has had his go at predicting Fulham vs Wolves, and when it comes to the Old Gold, he can\u2019t see one thing happening.<\/p>\n

Every week we keep saying the next match is a \u2018must-win\u2019, but when you do not have any Premier League victories this season, that becomes the reality each matchday.<\/p>\n

Fulham have been struggling this season, and while history points towards a Wolves win<\/a>, Marco Silva\u2019s squad do possess a lot of threat and are no doubt favourites.<\/p>\n

Former Wolves duo Raul Jimenez<\/a> and Adama Traore<\/a> will be dangerous for Fulham, and their quality is not unknown to the Wanderers fanbase.<\/p>\n

For the Old Gold, they look to be without Rodrigo Gomes and Matt Doherty<\/a>, who were forced off injured against Chelsea, making winning at Craven Cottage much harder, and Paul Merson has given his verdict.<\/p>\n

Another game without a win would make Wolves\u2019 Premier League survival chances look bleaker than they are, and it could spell the end of Vitor Pereira<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The head coach is safe for now<\/a>, but things will not be able to continue much longer if they remain winless after Saturday.<\/p>\n

Fulham sit just six points above Wolves, and a win on the weekend could halve the gap to safety, making this a very important game.<\/p>\n

As long as 17th place and above are within sight, there may be optimism that they could crawl out of the drop zone, but Paul Merson does not have much hope for them.<\/p>\n

Merson said via his weekly Sportskeeda<\/a> column, \u201cThis is a cup final. If Wolves win, they are just three points from safety. But if they get beat, that\u2019s at least eight points between them and 17th place. This is a must-win game for them; there are no two ways about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cFulham have struggled in recent weeks. The loss to Newcastle last weekend was their fourth straight defeat. I know they weren\u2019t easy games against Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Arsenal and Newcastle, but it has left them 17th in the table, just three points ahead of Nottingham Forest in the drop zone.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Fulham lose this game, you would have to think they are in the battle to avoid relegation. I know they are a better team than what the table suggests, but imagine losing to a team that\u2019s rock-bottom and are still searching for their first win of the season; that\u2019s a problem!<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t see\u00a0Fulham\u00a0going down at the end of the season. I can\u2019t keep saying the same about Wolves if they fail to get a result here because they have already lost to all three of the newly promoted teams. I think it gets worse for\u00a0Wolves; they have some tough fixtures coming up too.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pundit predicted a 2-0 win for Fulham.<\/p>\n

Fulham will break 127-year record if they beat Wolves<\/p>\n

Fulham have not won back-to-back games against Wolves since 1908, and with the last matchup between the two sides ending in a 2-1 win for the Cottagers, that could be a blessing for the Old Gold.<\/p>\n

Of course, historical precedents are there to be broken, but it may add just a little bit more belief heading into Saturday\u2019s fixture.<\/p>\n

Fulham do not want to be dragged into a relegation fight, and Wolves are looking to crawl their way out of it.<\/p>\n
