To nobody\u2019s surprise, Brendan Rodgers is no longer the Celtic manager.<\/p>\n

What probably is a surprise is how it all unfolded on that dramatic Monday evening, including the verbal pelters Rodgers<\/a> took from the usually quiet and under fire Dermot Desmond.<\/p>\n

Everyone is aware that all of this stems from Celtic\u2019s abject 2025 summer transfer window<\/a> and the questionable business conducted. <\/p>\n

Whilst a lot of the talk is around how Celtic<\/a> didn\u2019t bring in enough quality, Barry Ferguson questioned the transfer call on the marmite-like figure, Adam Idah<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Idah divided opinion<\/a>, as there were sections of the Celtic fanbase who just didn\u2019t think he was good enough to lead the line for the champions of Scotland<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But Ferguson<\/a> told Go Radio that it \u2018baffled\u2019 him Celtic let the Republic of Ireland star go to Swansea City for \u00a36 million, and then brought in Kelechi Iheanacho after the transfer window slammed shut.<\/p>\n

Ferguson made it clear, alongside Peter Grant, that he would have kept Idah, as you need up to \u2018four strikers\u2019 in your squad, especially if you are pushing for all competitions. <\/p>\n

\u201cI thought it was crazy,\u201d admitted Ferguson. \u201cI know he\u2019s up for debate a lot with Celtic fans. Some like him and some don\u2019t like him. <\/p>\n

\u201cIf you aren\u2019t getting a direct replacement in. I know Iheanacho came in. But why would you let him go on the final day of the transfer window? Baffled me, if I am being honest.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t know what\u2019s going on inside. Maybe Idah has gone, \u2018I have had enough up here. I want to go.\u2019 I think you need three or four number nines. You are in four competitions. You have the league, the League Cup, the Scottish Cup and you are in Europe. There are a lot of games. Three or four strikers you need at your club.\u201d<\/p>\n

Grant: \u201cI would have kept Idah, Kelechi Iheanacho and Maeda.\u201d<\/p>\n

How is Idah faring at Swansea City amid Celtic\u2019s struggles?<\/p>\n

Put aside Celtic\u2019s comfortable 4-0 win over Falkirk<\/a> on Martin O\u2019Neill\u2019s return to the dugout, it has been a slow-burner for the Bhoys in front of goal. <\/p>\n

But whilst Celtic haven\u2019t been anywhere near their best, Idah himself is still trying to find his feet at Swansea, and he is yet to score from open play since moving to the Welsh club. <\/p>\n

Idah\u2019s sole goal came from the penalty spot against Leicester City, and he did start his side\u2019s League Cup defeat to Manchester City on Wednesday night. <\/p>\n
