{"id":235465,"date":"2025-10-31T07:07:09","date_gmt":"2025-10-31T07:07:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/235465\/"},"modified":"2025-10-31T07:07:09","modified_gmt":"2025-10-31T07:07:09","slug":"lancashire-women-head-coach-chris-read-signs-new-two-year-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/235465\/","title":{"rendered":"Lancashire Women head coach Chris Read signs new two-year deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Lancashire Women&#8217;s head coach Chris Read has signed a new two-year deal to keep him at Emirates Old Trafford until the end of the 2027 season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The 47-year-old former England international has been rewarded for his part in a stellar 2025 campaign in which his side lifted two trophies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Lancashire won the Vitality T20 County Cup in May beating The Blaze and Surrey on Finals Day, and the One-Day Cup in September with a win over Hampshire in the final.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Read, a former Nottinghamshire captain, said he believed the squad could make further progress over the course of his new deal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;This group of players have shown incredible progress over the last two years.
