We reckon Halo Studios\u2019 strategy for the future of Master Chief is beginning to emerge.<\/p>\n

Halo: Campaign Evolved<\/a> is coming to the PS5 next year, but the developer has already said the future of the franchise is on PlayStation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So, what\u2019s next, after its Halo: Combat Evolved<\/a> remake?<\/p>\n

Well, fan account Halo Leaks<\/a> \u2013 which was one of many to accurately out<\/a> the existence of Campaign Evolved \u2013 says remakes of both the Halo 2<\/a> and Halo 3<\/a> stories are also in the works.<\/p>\n

It says these will be \u201cfull remakes\u201d, with revised gameplay like sprint.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo ETA on when these could be announced,\u201d the account writes on X<\/a> (or Twitter<\/a>). \u201c[The] same source that told me about the remake and its mechanics also told me Halo 2 and 3 were being remade too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later on in the replies<\/a>, Halo Leaks goes on to elaborate that a Halo 7 is also in development, and this one will have competitive multiplayer.<\/p>\n

Thus, it sounds to us like the plan is to bring remakes of the original trilogy to the PS5, and then also accompany them with a brand-new game, featuring PvP.<\/p>\n

\u201cHalo Studios wants everyone to play Halo 7\u2019s multiplayer, they don’t want to create separate multiplayer experiences competing with each other,\u201d the snoop adds.<\/p>\n

It all sounds fairly logical to us, although we could see the multiplayer potentially releasing as a standalone free-to-play live service to be honest, as it does make sense for that to be as accessible as possible.<\/p>\n

Obviously, we\u2019re potentially talking about a decade or more of plans here, so the details could easily change \u2013 if they\u2019re even accurate to begin with.<\/p>\n

But it does seem like a solid roadmap for Halo Studios to follow as it seeks to get the series back on track.<\/p>\n
