Wakefield Trinity have handed a long-term contract to one of their most influential stars.<\/p>\n

\u2018Outstanding\u2019 forward Caleb Hamlin-Uele<\/a> has been tipped to take Super League by storm after signing a new deal which will keep him at Wakefield Trinity until the end of 2030.<\/p>\n

The Auckland-born prop had two seasons remaining on his previous deal, which was signed exactly a year ago.<\/p>\n

Hamlin-Uele joined Trinity<\/a> from New South Wales Cup side Newtown Jets ahead of the 2024 season and has scored 10 tries in 44 appearances.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old featured 15 times this year, crossing five times, before his campaign was ended by a shoulder injury and boss Daryl Powell said: \u201cCaleb has been an outstanding part of our pack for the last two seasons.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis ability to carry the ball and offload, alongside being a really solid defender, will make him one of the best front-rowers in the competition over the coming seasons.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m delighted he has decided to extend this contract and look forward to working with him over what I am confident will be a really successful period for our club.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking on his new deal, Hamlin-Uele added: \u201cI\u2019m really happy to be staying at Wakefield for the next five years. The club and fans have treated me so well since the beginning and I\u2019m truly grateful for it.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn a world full of uncertainty, there are three things I\u2019m certain about: God is good, I love my family and it\u2019s WTID [Wakefield till I die].\u201d<\/p>\n

Director of rugby Ste Mills insisted offering Hamlin-Uele a long-term deal was \u201can easy decision for the club to make\u201d. He said: He had an unlucky year in 2025 with injuries, but when he did take the field he was top class. \u201d<\/p>\n
