We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.<\/p>\n<p>Your support makes all the difference.Read more<\/p>\n<p>Pop star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/zara-larsson\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Zara Larsson<\/a> has admitted that she wasn\u2019t expecting the reaction to her performances opening for <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/music\/features\/tate-mcrae-lyrics-album-kid-laroi-b2702379.html\">Tate McRae during her Miss Possessive tour<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The Swedish artist, known for hit singles including \u201cLush Life\u201d and \u201cAin\u2019t My Fault\u201d, was the subject of a number of viral TikToks as fans attending the shows expressed their astonishment at her live vocals. <\/p>\n<p>Some fans went so far as to jokingly suggest that Larsson should have been the one headlining, or question why she wasn\u2019t headlining her own arena tour. <\/p>\n<p>Larsson has now reflected on the success of the tour, saying she feels she still has \u201ca lot of work to do\u201d in building her live audience and explaining the McRae tour was a great opportunity to do that. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel that was the whole idea and the point of doing the tour,\u201d she told<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/films\/news\/bret-mckenzie-interview-the-hobbit-ian-mckellen-b2847139.html\"> the Good Vibrations podcast<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not oblivious to the fact that I feel like I have a lot of work to do, especially when it comes to touring in America, just to build my live audience. And I feel like [the Tate McRae tour] was such a good opportunity for me, to put myself in front of the perfect crowd.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Larsson said she felt it was the \u201cmost amazing match\u201d to perform for McRae\u2019s fans, who she said really appreciated the shows she put on with her four dancers. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know if I expected it to make waves the way it did on social media, but I knew it was an amazing opportunity, and I got really excited when I was booked for it,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n<p>She continued: \u201cObviously in a dream world, of course, I am ready to be the headliner \u2013 I will go out and headline my own show here in Europe.
