A Featherstone Rovers player has called out his club and made an apparent appeal to the RFL after wages went unpaid once again at the financially burdened club.<\/p>\n

When last month\u2019s IMG gradings came out, Featherstone Rovers were one of three teams alongside Salford Red Devils and Halifax Panthers whose score had an asterisk beside it, denoting the fact that they have a HMRC case looming in the background.<\/p>\n

Salford have had yet another stay of execution with their hearing adjourned and the latest statement from the club\u2019s owners being that the debts will all be paid, however, it was reported by The Sun\u2019s Gary Carter that October wages, for the players who remained, had not been paid.<\/p>\n

Wages also haven\u2019t been paid at Featherstone according to Rovers star James Glover with the 31-year-old taking to social media to call out the club and seemingly make a plea to the RFL for action.<\/p>\n

It perhaps shouldn\u2019t come as a surprise that wages have gone unpaid at Featherstone as the club\u2019s financial issues are well documented and a message from the club to their players confirming wages wouldn\u2019t be paid was reported last month.<\/a><\/p>\n

Part of that memo said: \u201cUnfortunately, I must inform you that we will not be able to process payments on Tuesday or for the remainder of the 2025 season.\u201d<\/p>\n

Therefore whilst not surprising that players haven\u2019t been paid for October, it\u2019s still awful for those involved and Glover has made an appeal of behalf of all those who have been affected.<\/p>\n

Taking to X, he said: \u201cStill owed Septembers wages and now Octobers missed too. No answers from anyone at the club @FevRoversRLFC people have families to provide for, mortgages and bills to pay. Are we just expected to stay silent? Enough is enough. @TheRFL\u201d<\/p>\n

Featherstone have seen chairman Paddy Handley leave with former director Mark Campbell returning to try and fix the club\u2019s financial state.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the YEP and Serious About Rugby League following September\u2019s reports of unpaid wages, he said: \u201cI have a meeting with the players this evening and we are working on where the club is financially as of now. However, we have limited information at hand so this may take some time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Serious About Rugby League have contacted the RFL for comment on the matter given Glover\u2019s apparent appeal to the sport\u2019s governing body.<\/p>\n
