Arthur states that if the underdog Yarde (27-3, 24 KOs) fails to stop \u2018The Mexican Monster\u2019 Benavidez (30-0, 24 KOs) early, it\u2019s going to be a \u201chard task.\u201d<\/p>\n

Morrell Took the Fight Out of the Monster<\/p>\n
Benavidez is coming into the fight after a grueling war against Cuban David Morrell on February 1, 2025, and there\u2019s a chance that his head is still echoing from the huge shots he was getting hit with in that fight.<\/p>\n
Morrell stopped Benavidez in the 11th and had him out on his feet in the 4th after clocking him with a right. In round 2, Morrell staggered Benavidez with a straight left to the head. Those shots may have taken enough out of Benavidez to make him vulnerable against Yarde, who has similar power, but a limited gas tank due to his bodybuilder\u2019s physique.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s already a near-impossible task as it is because Yarde, 34, hasn\u2019t been operating at the same talent level as Benavidez during his career. Moreover, Anthony has done literally nothing to earn a title shot against Benvidez.<\/p>\n
Turki\u2019s Surprising Choice of Yarde<\/p>\n
Yarde has been operating at the British domestic level. Turki Alalshikh officially announced the Benavidez-Yarde fight on July 3, 2025. Fans believe that he chose Yarde. It\u2019s unclear if he explored other possible options, like the Olympians Arlen Lopez, Ben Whittaker, or Imam Khataev. Those would have been more interesting for fans.<\/p>\n
Arthur Sees a Hard Task Ahead<\/p>\n
