The internet is obsessed with Justin Trudeau\u2019s Halloween<\/a> costume, which appears to be a nod to his sizzling romance with Katy Perry<\/a>.<\/p>\n Former Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau, 53, and award-winning pop star Perry, 41, have been the talk of social media<\/a> in recent weeks, having first ignited dating rumours in late July.<\/p>\n Trudeau and Perry then made things official<\/a> when they stepped out last weekend, holding hands in Paris<\/a> as they left the Crazy Horse cabaret, where the Roar hitmaker celebrated her birthday<\/a>.<\/p>\n And now it seems the politician is keen to shout about their relationship from the rooftops, as no one can ignore the glaring KP reference in his shark<\/a> attire for Halloween.<\/p>\n Taking to Instagram<\/a> on Friday, Trudeau revealed his outfit alongside some snaps with his 11-year-old son, Hadrien.<\/p>\n Trudeau was dressed as an inflatable shark, while his child was a wounded surfer who had been bitten and was covered in blood.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t \u2018Ready for Halloween with Hadrien: he\u2019s the surfer, I\u2019m the shark (to his left)\u2019, his caption began.<\/p>\n \u2018We built the costume together \u2014 a little father-son Halloween teamwork. \ud83c\udf83\ud83e\udd88\ud83c\udfc4\u200d\u2642\ufe0f\u2019, he added sweetly.<\/p>\n Of course, the blue shark suit plus his position being \u2018to his left\u2019 looks to be referencing the viral Left Shark from Perry\u2019s 2015 Super Bowl<\/a> halftime show.<\/p>\n The meme has gone down as one of the Super Bowl\u2019s most memorable moments over the past decade, as one of the singer\u2019s backing dancers appeared to forget their choreography and went rogue, thereby creating jokes for days online.<\/p>\n It didn\u2019t take long for people to connect the dots between Trudeau\u2019s Halloween look and Perry\u2019s viral incident, as the comments section of his post was flooded with GIFs from the performance.<\/p>\n \u2018LEFT SHARK \ud83d\ude0d\u2019, commented @danielleannie.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t \u2018Babe we all recognize that shark costume\u2019, wrote @sarahm5607.<\/p>\n \u2018What a wild timeline to be in\u2019, joked @tanyaninetwo.<\/p>\n Asking the question on everyone\u2019s lips, @kbempringham said: \u2018Ok but did you learn the choreo\u2019.<\/p>\n \u2018This is pretty iconic actually\u2019, declared @beatricepirate.<\/p>\n Trudeau was first spotted out with Perry in summer after dining at Le Violon in Montreal.<\/p>\n Their blossoming romance follows his separation from wife Sophie Gr\u00e9goire, from whom he split in 2023 and shares three kids: sons Xavier and Hadrien and daughter Ella-Grace.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t Meanwhile, Perry and actor Orlando Bloom<\/a> announced earlier this year that, after much speculation, they had also split<\/a>. The A-listers began dating in early 2016, and, following a brief split, they reunited and got engaged in 2019.<\/p>\n Perry shares five-year-old daughter Daisy Dove<\/a> with the Pirates of the Caribbean star, with the little one remaining their priority as they now co-parent amicably.<\/p>\n While she and Trudeau are keeping things pretty low-key<\/a> for the time being\u2014apart from a cheeky quip onstage<\/a> about how she\u2019s no longer \u2018falling for Englishmen\u2019\u2014it\u2019s said their fresh romance has had a great impact on his happiness in particular.<\/p>\n Speaking to People<\/a> this week, a source said: \u2018Justin has had a lot of upheavals in the past couple of years, both in his professional-political status and at home with the split from Sophie.<\/p>\n \u2018He is a much happier person now.\u2019<\/p>\n The insider added: \u2018Stresses are greatly diminished. And he is intrigued with Katy. They have fun together, laugh a lot, talk about everything.<\/p>\n \u2018His life is much improved, and his relationship with Katy has had a lot to do with it.\u2019<\/p>\n A Canadian political source also confirmed that the pair are very much an item and \u2018they have been seeing each other as often as possible\u2019.<\/p>\n \u2018Obviously, she\u2019s busy, but so is he. Yet he goes the extra mile to be with her when possible.
