Mohamed Salah<\/a> became only the third Liverpool player in history to reach the 250-goal milestone for the club, following in the footsteps of two legendary strikers.<\/p>\n

For the first time this season Salah scored in back-to-back Premier League<\/a> games, and his first-half strike against Aston Villa<\/a> was his 250th for Liverpool. <\/p>\n

The Egyptian reached the milestone in 415 appearances, joining only Roger Hunt<\/a> and the club\u2019s all-time top goalscorer Ian Rush<\/a> in achieving the incredible feat.<\/p>\n

Salah has scored 188 times in the Premier League<\/a>, 51 times in European competition, six in the FA Cup<\/a>, four in the League Cup<\/a> and one in the Community Shield.<\/p>\n

In a rare post-match interview where he was asked about the achievement, Salah told TNT Sports: \u201cA great feeling to score goals and win trophies for such a big club. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s something I don\u2019t take for granted. I\u2019m so proud, and so happy about that achievement.\u201d<\/p>\n

Salah is third in Liverpool\u2019s all-time goalscorers list and needs a further 36 goals to leapfrog Hunt in second place, with Rush still out of reach on what feels an insurmountable 346 goals.<\/p>\n

The Egyptian\u2019s latest feat, though, drew praise from Slot, who told reporters: \u201cIt is huge. That is almost unbelievable if you score 250 goals for one club, you don\u2019t see this much in football anymore. <\/p>\n

\u201cApart from the goal he scored, he had a very good performance because when we had to play long, we mainly played towards him and he could hold the ball.\u201d<\/p>\n

Salah is Liverpool\u2019s fourth-most-used player so far this season and has five goals and three assists to his name, but has been below the impeccable standards he set last year.<\/p>\n

Asked pointedly if he has been happy with his campaign to date, Salah told TNT Sports: \u201cNo. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut I said from the beginning, I know football, I\u2019ve played for many years. It\u2019s a very tricky season for us, because we had a few new players, very good signings, but they need time to adapt to the whole team.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd we lost a few good players as well. We just need time to adapt and know each other\u2019s game and everything will be fine.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
