The fourth and final season of BBC<\/a> sitcom Motherland has landed on Netflix<\/a>, which means your cosy November evenings are sorted.<\/p>\n The rib-tickling series from Bafta-winning comedian Sharon Horgan follows the highs of lows of middle-class motherhood <\/a>(and parenthood as a whole) with a cast of kooky characters.<\/p>\n Starring Anne Maxwell-Martin, Lucy Punch, Dianne Morgan and Joanne Lumley, the \u201dalpha mum\u2019 stacked show has proven itself a certified hit, even spawning a popular spin-off series based on Lucy\u2019s hoity-toity character Amanda, aptly named Amandaland<\/a>. <\/p>\n Imbued with a quintessential awkward British humour, fans have grown fond of this chaotic group of chaotic parents over the years \u2013 with the hijinks utterly bingeable. It\u2019s the perfect comforting watch.<\/p>\n \u2018Funny, relatable and well written. She\u2019s horrible in the most perfect way,\u2019 one anonymous user shared.<\/p>\n \u2018I love this show, it\u2019s one of my all-time faves and a real comfort show now,\u2019 another posted.<\/p>\n The show recently came to an end, with Amandaland filling the void in everyone\u2019s hearts, also garnering plenty of acclaim, a festive special and a second season.<\/p>\n \t\t Discussing bringing an honest representation of parenting<\/a> to the screen, Horgan told Radio Times <\/a>in 2017: \u2018\u2026it\u2019s hard to show women looking like they\u2019re doing a bad job of being a mother. <\/p>\n \u2018And that\u2019s why I\u2019m amazed that the BBC let us do whatever we wanted; there\u2019s no sugar-coating it. There\u2019s no, \u201cRight, in this episode can you make sure you give your daughter her five-a-day?\u201d <\/p>\n \u2018It\u2019s just showing the sort of\u2026 hell of it.
