Hall of Fame great Roy Jones Jr<\/a> has shared his thoughts on what he believes Terence Crawford<\/a>\u2018s next move should be.<\/p>\n

\u2018Bud\u2019 Crawford captured world honours in a fifth weight division back in September when he defeated Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez to win the undisputed super-middleweight championship in their historic showdown.<\/a><\/p>\n

The 38-year-old from Omaha became the first male fighter in boxing history to win an undisputed world championship in three weight classes, having already achieved this feat at super-lightweight and welterweight respectively.<\/p>\n

As he prepares to consider his next steps after already achieving so much in the sport, Crawford could be tempted by making a move to a brand new weight division, setting his sights on becoming a six-weight world champion in the process.<\/p>\n

One man who knows a thing or two about claiming world honours in multiple divisions is Jones Jr, having been a middleweight, super-middleweight, light heavyweight and remarkably heavyweight world champion during his career.<\/p>\n

In an interview with The Ring Magazine<\/a>, the legendary Jones had his say on what he believes Crawford should do next, as he urges his countryman to pursue a world title shot at a brand new weight division.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he should go down and win a title at 160 because he won at 47, 40, 54, 68, go get 60, you\u2019ve got to close it off, that\u2019s fire.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reports have actually suggested in recent weeks that Crawford could be in line to clash with unified WBO and IBF world middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhanuly, who is also said to be interested in facing the unbeaten American.<\/a><\/p>\n
