\n Dorset Echo Camera Club photographer Harry Meech captured the stunning image of four seals enjoying a splash around off Portland.\n<\/p>\n
\n Harry said that it was ‘lovely to watch the four seals off the Portland coastline.’\n<\/p>\n
\n Seal sightings along the Dorset coastline are\u00a0a regular occurrence with the locally named Sammy the Seal becoming a bit of a\u00a0celebrity\u00a0a few summers ago in Weymouth.\n<\/p>\n
\n Wildlife experts warn that it is important to keep a fair distance from the seals\u00a0that come close to the shoreline.\n<\/p>\n
\n It is also essential to respect the marine mammal\u2019s space in order so as\u00a0not\u00a0cause it any distress.\n<\/p>\n
\n The RSPCA also says that it is not unusual to see a seal or seal pup by itself as it could be resting.\n<\/p>\n
\n There is a healthy number of seals often seen in the south west including the common seal and the grey seal – with plenty of sightings of groups near Portland Bill over the years.\n<\/p>\n
