\"Automation<\/a><\/p>\n

Imagine, for a moment, an RPG which marries the character-swapping combat of Genshin Impact<\/a> with the automation aspects of Satisfactory<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That is Arknights: Endfield<\/a>, a game we played at Gamescom<\/a> earlier this year and came away pretty impressed by.<\/p>\n

Since its initial tests, the title \u2013 which is officially due out in 2026 on the PS5 \u2013 has been reworked by developer Mountain Contour, and is getting a brand-new beta later this month.<\/p>\n

This beta will be limited to PC and mobile, but will feature a \u201cfully reworked storyline with new cutscenes and dialogue animations where player choices lead to unique outcomes\u201d. Presumably, the original plot didn\u2019t test well.<\/p>\n

There will also be new Operators and an entire new region to explore. It\u2019ll get underway from 28th November, and you can register your interest through here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But PS5 players may be more interested in a separate stress test coming to Sony\u2019s console, although the timing has not yet been confirmed.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what the dev says about it:<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a limited-access, data-wipe test, meaning all data will be deleted and servers will shut down after the test ends. In-game purchases will not be available throughout the test. The test period will be announced at a later time. The test will offer English, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, and Russian localization. The PlayStation 5 Technical Test and Beta Test II are separate tests, and game data will not carry over between them.\u201d<\/p>\n

As we alluded to at the beginning of this article, much of Arknight: Endfield looks like your typical open world gacha game, but its big twist is how you\u2019ll build complex automation facilities to process materials.<\/p>\n

It looks complicated but something you could really sink your teeth into, and we\u2019re eager to see how it all translates to the DualSense. (The demo we played previously was on PC.)<\/p>\n
