An actress famed for her roles in Little House on the Prairie and Repo Man is facing eviction after suffering a stroke<\/a>.<\/p>\n Olivia Barash, 60, is bedridden and unable to work, and says she has “no family and hardly any friends left” to lean on for help. The star, who was nominated for the Young Artist Award at the Young Artist Foundation aged just 17, faces eviction in just two weeks unless she can find the money for her rent.<\/p>\n She had applied for a disability benefit but claims this has been rejected by authorities in Los Angeles, California. Now Olivia, who was in Little House on the Prairie in the 1980s, hopes a GoFundMe appeal<\/a> will help fund her rent and living costs while she recovers from the stroke she experienced last month.<\/p>\n In recent years, Olivia has focused on film work and had been working as a director on a new documentary before her ill health. I didn’t expect this. I want to move to a safe place and be normal again. I just need some assistance right now.”<\/p>\n The veteran entertainer, born in Miami, Florida, told TMZ<\/a> she considers her ordeal “the most devastating chapter” of her life. She claims she has not received the appropriate healthcare following the stroke.<\/p>\n The circumstances around her potential eviction unclear, but Olivia says a rent hike and the restructuring of her apartment building in Los Angeles are forcing her out – and as of now, she doesn’t know where she’ll go.<\/p>\n But the actress, nominated for the young talent award for her performance in drama Little House on the Prairie, has been flooded with messages of support from fans online. The GoFundMe<\/a>, created by a friend, has already received donations to the value of $6,500 (around \u00a35,000).
