ITV<\/a> soap have been wanting to see more of the character, played by Ryan Prescott since 2018, following his sporadic appearances on the cobbles.<\/p>\nViewers will be aware that character was first introduced to Weatherfield in 2006 and played by Ben Thompson until 2010, when Ryan accepted a university placement in Glasgow. Two years later, however, he was kicked out of his course and returned home, hooked on cocaine.<\/p>\n
Sol Heras then took on the role from 2012 to 2013, when Ryan went to Ibiza to work as a DJ. Five years later, there was another change as Ryan was recast in the role in 2018, when his character’s job in Ibiza fell through and he moved back in with his mum, Michelle, played by Kym Marsh.<\/p>\n
Now, following his own difficulties in recent years, Ryan is often found working at the Chariot Square Hotel or with his family, the Connor-Swains, following his and his aunt Carla Connor’s move to No.6 Coronation Street.<\/p>\n
But Carla and Ryan recently took time away from the Street to attend a family funeral in Ireland. While the Underworld factory boss returned during last Thursday’s (October 30) episode of Corrie, she was without Ryan.<\/p>\n
When Carla’s fianc\u00e9e asked about him, Carla explained that Ryan would be staying in Ireland for a bit longer. It was then during Monday’s (November 3) visit to Weatherfield that he was seen back where fans want him to be.<\/p>\n

He was quick to find Carla, who was needing reassurance about her relationship with Lisa following her former wife’s latest meddling following her return from the dead back in September.<\/p>\n
However, Ryan’s reappearance took some viewers by surprise, as he looked like he had been on a sun-soaked break with a bronzed glow as opposed to an autumnal vist to the ‘Emerald Isle’.<\/p>\n
Flocking to social media, fans were quick to comment. @TheConnorSwains said: “Wow must have been unseasonably hot in Ireland! #Swarla #Corrie.” @Patea1961 replied: “Wow!! I didn\u2019t know that you could get such a great tan in Ireland this time of year.” @midnightswarla wrote: “Must have been red hot in Ireland for Ryan\u2019s impressive tan!! Is he gonna encourage Betsy to go to Spain?#swarla #corrie.”<\/p>\n
@linda38_listen laughed: “Don’t know what Ireland Ryan was in cause the Ireland I’m in has been p**sing it down and I’m as white as a sheet.” @Emmmmmer typed, alongside a picture of Ross Gellar’s tanning disaster in Friends: “Sorry sorry I know there are way more important things to talk about but Ryan is giving Miss Hawaiian Tropics and it\u2019s VERY distracting #swarla #corrie.”<\/p>\n
@liamsconnor1 posted: “Watching tonight\u2019s corrie and HOW has ryan got such a tan from IRELAND.” Meanwhile, @D0ROG added: “Everyone is pointing out ryan’s tan, well i’ll have you know that iy was actually very very hot here around the time he went away so it is justified #Corrie.”<\/p>\n
It comes after Corrie fans were left issuing a demand over more storylines for the character.<\/p>\n
@carlascopper said: “I miss my guy. Can we please give ryan a storyline!!!” @CarmenNoelle11 replied: “I miss him. I thought KB [producer Kate Brooks] said she had big plans for Ryan but apart from a few scenes with swarla we\u2019ve not really seen him.”<\/p>\n
