Essex all-rounder Eva Gray has signed a two-year contract extension with the club.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old – Essex’s vice captain and a founding member<\/a> of the women’s team – will now remain at the county until the end of the 2028 season.<\/p>\n

Gray, a right-arm seam bowler, claimed 31 wickets across 30 matches during Essex’s inaugural season as a professional outfit<\/a>, earning a place in the Women’s PCA Team of the Year.<\/p>\n

She signed in October 2024 following previous spells with Surrey Stars, South East Stars and Sunrisers.<\/p>\n

Gray was also a member of the Oval Invincibles squad for The Hundred between 2021 and 2023, winning the first two campaigns, and also represented London Spirit in the competition in 2024.<\/p>\n

Her county debut came for Surrey in 2014. <\/p>\n

Speaking to Essex’s website, Gray said she was “really pleased” to have signed her new deal.<\/p>\n

“We had a tough summer<\/a> as a team but there is definitely a lot of determination within the group to take what we can from this year, work hard and come back with some fresh ideas,” she added.<\/p>\n
