By the time the action resumed, there were only five seconds left in the round. Ellis picked up where he left off in the fourth, landing sharp combinations upstairs and downstairs. He\u2019s ready for any of the welterweight champions but has his eye on the winner of the upcoming WBO title clash between Brian Norman Jr. and Devin Haney on November 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n
His promoter Jimmy Burchfield believes Ellis\u2019 future is at 154 pounds: \u201cI believe 154 pounds is where he belongs right now. And he\u2019ll fight any of the champions. We\u2019re ready for any of them. He\u2019s just another breed of fighter \u2014 entertainment, he can punch, he\u2019s got a little bit of Sugar Ray Leonard and Muhammad Ali. He\u2019s got everything, baby.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ellis says he can still make 147 \u201cif a title opportunity arises there, but it\u2019s a lot easier to make 154.\u201d<\/p>\n
